Calvin was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and raised in Bienfait, Saskatchewan, moved to Williston, North Dakota in 1980 where he finished high-school and attended U of N. Dakota, then moved to Calgary, Alberta in 1988 (first job was selling vacuum cleaners).

Entered first singing contest 1989 where he made it to the semi-finals, developed his craft and won numerous first place finishes, becoming a Semi-finalist, "Ranchman’s Club" (Calgary, AB) `93 (Catch A Rising Star).

Appeared at `Calgary Stampede `93,`94,`95 on the "Nashville North Stage", appeared at the "Big Rocky Mountain Jamboree" `94, "Shaw Cable", and Guest Performer at "Mrs. Calgary Pageant" `94, receiving a standing ovation.

Won CFCW Radio ( Edmonton, AB.) "Star Search Talent Contest" Feb. 26th, 1995.

Calvin is firstly dedicated to his young family and personal development, enjoys being busy with his career, and connects with just about anyone through his honest up-front and positive attitude.

Calvin is currently composing original songs and tackling the guitar.

Musical influences include: Elvis, Kenny Rogers, Conway Twitty, George Strait, Dwight Yokam, Billy Joel, Mark Chesnutt and many others

Favourite Things:  food, baseball, volleyball, golf, piano, actor Sean Connery, big dogs (he has two), summertime, performing in front of audiences, colours black & red, his red/black cowboy boots.

HOBBIES: likes to ride his motorcycle, drive around in "Hobbs" (his pickup truck) singing with the radio, going out for dinner, skeet  shooting, billiards, hiking in the mountains, roller-blading, archery, volleyball
